About the School
The journey of Raghuleela School of Music began with a simple opportunity and a deep passion for teaching. Guided by her guru’s encouragement, Dr. Sunitha Chandrakumar began traveling from Mysuru to Mandya twice a week to teach light music, carrying forward a tradition she deeply cherished.
Inspired by the response and love for music, she later started teaching from a small garage in her home — a modest space filled with dedication, discipline, and melody.
Today, Raghuleela School of Music has grown into a vibrant music school in Mysuru, nurturing students through Kannada Light Music, devotional songs, folk traditions, and meaningful musical learning.

A Guru’s Blessing, A Teacher’s Journey
Our story takes root in a small yet significant moment—an opportunity given by our founder’s guru to teach a group of eager students in Mandya, a town 40 km away from Mysuru. It wasn’t just an assignment; it was a calling. With her young child by her side, she would take the train twice a week, traveling to Mandya, driven by an unshakable love for music and teaching.
This journey was not just about distance; it was about dedication, about keeping alive the essence of light music in the hearts of young learners.

A Humble Beginning in Mysuru
Encouraged by the response in Mandya, she started teaching from a small, unassuming garage in her home in Mysuru. It wasn’t a grand institution, but it had something more valuable—passion, commitment, and a belief that music should be accessible to all. Slowly, word spread, and what started as a handful of students turned into a growing community of learners, all eager to embrace the magic of music.

Growing into a Musical Institution
Today, what started as a single opportunity has blossomed into a full-fledged music school with an exclusive presence in Saraswathipuram, Mysuru. Our school is more than just a place to learn music—it is a space where tradition meets passion, where students find their voices, and where Kannada light music is nurtured with dedication and love.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to bring music into more lives, to keep Kannada light music alive, and to inspire generations to come.
Join us on this journey. Let’s create music, let’s create memories.
